Latasha Cannon
Latasha Cannon, CPC-I started in the medical field in 1992 on college work study at Grady Health System. Ms. Cannon contributes this experience to igniting her passion for developing and training others in the medical coding profession which remains her guiding force to this day. Upon completing her degree in Business Administration, Ms. Cannon continued in the medical field and began coding in 1998. She has held rewarding positions as a Managed Care Manager, Coding Administrative Lead, Coding Contractor, and Provider Education Specialist. She is a certified professional coder (CPC) and approved PMCC Instructor for the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC). She possesses in-depth skills and experience having served in coding positions at local hospitals, payers, and private practices. She has practical work experience with physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners teaching documentation guidelines, Medicare coding requirements, STARS and HEDIS measures which sets her apart from other coding instructors.
She is currently an active member of AAPC.
